My name is Matt Read. I’m a senior at the University of Michigan-Dearborn pursuing a degree in Digital Marketing with a focus in sports marketing. The original purpose of this website was to fulfill one of the deliverables for my Digital Marketing capstone class, but it turned into a way to convey my belief that digital marketing has a place in the sports industry.
For the purposes of the project, the point was to optimize our website with two phrases that get entered into Google’s search bar: Student Best Practices in Digital Marketing and Best Methods of Programmatic Display Buying. We were to first design our website, produce the content for the website, and then use the skills we had learned in class to get our website ranked on Google. In addition, we were in the semester long process of getting certified by Google as a Google Partner.
